Leaf from an early Antiphonal
France, probably Paris: c. 1275. 183 x 120mm. Two columns, text and music (four staves), ruled in red, with decorative initials in red and blue; in fine and fresh condition. Origin and prior provenance unknown (possibly Maggs inventory number on verso); from a private California collection. An interesting leaf being the end of Nones and the beginning of Vespers, with many ink corrections in a different hand, parts of the text lined through (deleted?), and annotations in the margins.
