§ Two scarce listings by the renowned Los Angeles dealer Jake Zeitlin; portfolio 3 includes "William Blake - Standing archer holding a sword, pencil drawing, $4550" and portfolio 4 includes "William Blake - three relief etchings from Songs of Innocence and Experience" [sic]. Essick commented: "the Songs plates are posthumous. Jake bought for me, in the Blake-Varley Sketchbook auction, "Harold Killed at the Battle of Hastings." The Standing Archer he bought for stock; Butlin says sold by Jake to Robert H. Taylor. Blake Archive says at Princeton now (along with other Blakes given by Taylor)." Item #125180
