Quarter blue morocco, marbled paper covered boards, marbled endpapers, backstrip with raised bands, titled in gilt. Backstrip faded, scattered foxing particularly of first and final leaves, very good.
§ One of 750 copies. A French regional history of Mantes, known as Mantes-la-Jolie since 1953, located in the western suburbs of Paris. The town had particular importance during the 100 Years War as it is located half way between Roen and Paris, the strongholds of the Dukes of Normandy and the Kings of France. Item #110467
