§ A Hart Press keepsake reprinting Jacobs’s very funny essay about the dear unknown -- a correspondent with an illegible signature -- which had previously appeared in the January 3, 1963 issue of the The Reporter. Printed by Ruth and James D. Hart at their home press, and illustrated by Victor Anderson who illustrated many of the Hart Press Christmas keepsakes. James D. Hart was a professor of English at UC Berkeley, Vice Chancellor from 1957 to 1960, and Director of the Bancroft Library from 1969 to 1970. Item #107562
