§ First edition thus. A series of letters from Rico Lebrun, exploring the philosophy behind his artwork, alongside a number of black-and-white reproductions of his drawings and paintings. Born in Naples in 1900, Lebrun immigrated to the United States at 24 years of age, and had several successful ventures in Illinois and New York before moving to Southern California. His work often exhibits an interest in tragedy and mortality, and forms an interesting blend between more traditional figural work and abstraction. Item #104489
