Catalogue #61: Counter culture photography
To you, dear reader, we humbly present our latest catalog, comprised of a collection of recently acquired black and white photographs. The two photographers most represented within are Chris Felver and Lynda Koolish -- two Bay Area artists who offered a view of the literary movers and shakers of their respective eras. By Felver there are photos of important figures of the Beat generation, including Ken Kesey, Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti -- and from Koolish, we have photos of feminist writers Audre Lorde, Ntozake Shange, and Margaret Atwood. Between these two ends of the spectrum, we also have photos by Jack Welpott, CR Snyder, Chris Kessler, and Claire Burch. Enjoy.
