London: J. Johnson, 1808. 12mo, 295 pp. with the last page of text numbered 259 instead of 295. With 26 engraved maps including a fold-out map of the world frontispiece. Contemporary calf, gilt horizontal bands along spine. Slight edgewear and some cracking along front hinge. Front and rear hinges inside beginning to show perforations between end papers. A very good copy. Thirteenth edition (so stated). Illustrated throughout with copperplates and a new set of maps drawn and engraved by the best artists. The plate at 31 has a volvelle, in perfect condition. All early editions are scarce, especially in good condition with the folding plate untorn and the volvelle undamaged.
