London: George Routledge and Sons, . 12mo, pp. Cream cloth boards, lightly soiled and spotted, with blue borders to the boards and a gilt design by Greenaway on the front cover. All edges gilt, bright orange end papers. Front pastedown bears the stamp of Earl of Altamont / Haslemere, Surrey. Five full-page color illustrations, including frontispiece, plus numerous smaller illustrations throughout. A very good copy. First edition. Kate Greenaway (1846-1901) started working on her first Almanack in 1882. At this time she was already a well-known illustrator of greeting cards and books for children. This was the sixth of the fourteen Greenaway almanacks. Schuster & Engen 8:6e.
