London: George Routledge and Sons, . Small 12mo, pp. Original glazed green pictorial boards, lightly soiled, with faded orange cloth spine, bright orange end papers. All edges stained blue. In chipped and spotted dust-jacket. Six full-page color illustrations, including frontispiece, plus numerous smaller illustrations throughout. Rare in dust-jacket. A very good copy. First edition. Kate Greenaway (1846-1901) started working on her first Almanack in 1882. At this time she was already a well-known illustrator of greeting cards and books for children. This was the fourth of the fourteen Greenaway almanacks. Schuster & Engen 6:4a.
