Full crushed green morocco, covers panelled in gilt, gilt dentelles, backstrip (gone to brown) richly gilt, raised bands, gilt edges, slipcase, a sumptuous binding signed by Chambolle-Duru with the original wrappers preserved. Henry Poors copy with bookplate. Edition limited to 120, printed for the Societé des Amis de Livres, of which this is one of 74 copies for members and includes an uncolored suite of the illustrations printed on chine. The superb color printing is reminiscent of the Eragny Press Livre de Jade with the gold and green printed together to such astonishing effect.
