Original yellow cloth, lettered in black on the upper cover, black ruled border. Small repair to dust-jacket, split along hinge almost invisible and preserved in mylar, a very good bright copy. Number 40 of 225 copies printed at the Westminster Press on hand-made paper signed by the author. Fifoot EA13. "Following service in France during World War I, Lowinsky continued painting, holding his first one-man exhibition at the Leicester Galleries in 1926. He was a member of the New English Art Club from 1926 to 1942. Lowinsky's work was primarily portraiture, but he also painted fantasy scenes. Amongst the books for which he provided illustrations was Edith Sitwell's Elegy on Dead Fashion" (Wikipedia).
