N.p.: n.d. (c. 1934?). 4to, 37 pp. carbon copies, with a letter about the typescript dated 1934. Enclosed in an untitled leather box (worn). Kathleen Thompson Norris (1880 - 1966) was an American novelist and short story writer married to the writer Frank Norris. A native of San Francisco, she began her career as a newspaper writer. She progressed from stories to magazine articles to novels. She was the highest paid female writer of her time. Many of her novels are set in the San Francisco area and detail the lifestyle of the upper-class. She was a member of the American First Committee which opposed American involvement in World War II. Her papers seem to held mainly at Stanford and UCLA but no record of this story has been located. The typescript is accompanied by a letter on “American Druggist”letterhead stating the article will appear in the January issue of “Pictorial”Also a 10pp. typescript by Walter B. Pitkin titled "40 Candles on Your Cake"is in the box, apparently a piece also written for the American Druggist magazine. (Item Id: 110781)
