Very good copy in a slightly worn dust-jacket with a few chips. First edition of West's third novel. West was a Quaker from Indiana who settled in California. She began writing at the age of 30 while confined to a sanitarium with tuberculosis and not expected to live. Instead she died at 81 in Napa Valley with a string of titles to her name. The Witch Diggers is set in Indiana at the turn of the century and is the story of a courtship in a troubled family. (Item Id: 110491)
