Original beige buckram, black and gilt eagle device on upper cover, gilt lettered backstrip, original card slipcase, slightly worn. Very good with just a touch of rubbing to the backstrip. Number 116 of an edition limited to 125 copies signed by Rosemary Benét, Stephen Vincent Benét and Charles Child. Both Rosemary and Steven were successful poets. Steven won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry twice (the second time posthumously). This is a collection of 55 rhymed poems on famous "American" figures from Christopher Columbus through Cotton Mather, Captain Kidd, and most of the presidents through Woodrow Wilson.
