Life of Thomas Stothard R. A..
London: John Murray, 1851. 4to, xxiv, 245 pp, with 55 illustrations. A good and attractive copy in the original green and sepia decorated paper boards, with deep sepia used for the illustrations throughout. Marbled endpapers. Some corner wear and also wear to head of spine, with a slight loss of paper. Also wear to spine edges at bottom. Boards rather dusty and with a few minor marks, but internally very clean throughout. Bentley notes that Mrs Bray ( who was Stothard's daughter-in-law) is the first to relate here the arrest of Blake, Stothard and Ogleby, on a sailing trip on the Thames. Bentley, BB, 1273.
