Essicks well-illustrated essay has been recognised as the ultimate definitive statement on the Virgil wood engravings; Windles brief but brilliant afterword identifies the standard Blake items likely to be encountered in the marketplace and briefly describes, editions, states etc. Beautifully printed and bound in decorative Japanese paper.
