Essick’s well-illustrated essay has been recognised as the ultimate definitive statement on the Virgil wood engravings; Windle’s brief but brilliant afterword identifies the standard Blake items likely to be encountered in the marketplace and briefly describes, editions, states etc. Beautifully printed and bound in decorative Japanese paper.
