Original quarter red cloth, and silver-gray cloth, lettering in silver to backstrip, top-edge silver, uncut, with tissue dust-jacket as issued. Jacket has a few small chips, otherwise a very fine copy. First edition, “special edition” of 299 copies of which this is number 128 signed by William Faulkner to the recto of the title-page. . This collection is dedicated to Faulkner’s wife, and first daughter, who died nine days after her birth. These 13 is no longer in print, and includes the following short stories: “Victory,” “Ad Astra,” “All the Dead Pilots,” “Crevasse,” “Red Leaves,” “A Rose for Emily,” “A Justice,” “Hair,” “That Evening Sun,” “Dry September,” “Mistral,” “Divorce in Naples,” and “Carcassonne.” (Item Id: 108662)
