A very clean bright set, with only one jacket price-clipped (third volume). First editions of all three of the famous spy novels. “David John Moore Cornwell, alias John le Carré, (born 19 October 1931) is a British author of espionage novels. During the 1950s and the 1960s, he worked for both the Security Service and the Secret Intelligence Service, and began writing novels under his pen name. His third novel, The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (1963), became an international best-seller.” (Wikipedia). It featured George Smiley who is the main character in this trilogy collectively known as the “Karla Trilogy” and in the television series Smiley was famously played by Alec Guiness.
