Folio, title-page, two leaves, 30 color lithograph plates. Disbound plates housed in the original gray cloth portfolio with art nouveau style illustrated title to upper board in red. Portfolio is a bit shaken, frayed, and stained, with contemporary manuscript annotations to upper board, plates are a bit age-toned at outer margins, otherwise very good and complete.
§ A stunning example of Jugendstil or German art nouveau, in a portfolio comprised of elaborate floral designs often arranged in perfectly symmetrical patterns, divided according to the four seasons, and accompanied by botanical drawings which correspond to the flowers used in the stylized designs.
