A biographical account of Dickens around the time of his affair with Ellen Ternan, which can be read as a detective story by those unacquainted with Dickens.With a portrait of Ternan, a map of Slough, to Windsor and Datchet, and an extract from Dickens’s pocket diary for 1867, which was written in code.
