Two vols., oblong folios, approx. 121 leaves of color wallpaper samples printed to recto only, [and] 150 leaves of color wallpaper samples printed to recto only, several embossed or heightened in foils, prices and inventory numbers stamped to verso. Bolted half cloth over textured color paper-covered boards with gold or dark red printed lettering, the second volume with green cloth ties. Upper board of the first volume has a stain, boards of both volumes are rubbed along edges with fraying to backstrip, minor foxing to endpapers; internally bright, very good. Colorful sales trade catalogues for wallpaper, with a vast compilation of styles from pre-World War II Germany. The catalogue was likely from a large distributor, whose initials are stamped on upper boards, I. Z. & Co. D. The first volume features light-fast wallpaper chiefly with floral designs, with some more abstract and a few embossed examples. The second volume has a large variety of both colors and mediums, with floral, geometric, embossed, some with Art Deco, and Bauhaus aesthetic.
