Quarter navy morocco and pebble navy cloth boards, backstrip with five raised bands stamped and lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers. Backstrips on both volumes are worn at the joints, and rubbed at head and tail (more so on vol. I), corners are frayed and bumped, scattered foxing, otherwise plates are bright; very good. With bookplate of Blumenthal ex libris. First edition of this unique work, showing the various practical applications and patterns of brick in architectural design.
