Germany: [circa 1957]. Oblong 8vo., approx. 32 leaves, 16 screen printed wallpaper samples printed to verso only, with 16 facing b&w photos printed to recto only. Quarter black cloth, glazed blue, yellow, and white striped paper with title information printed in black. Corners slightly bumped, edges show minor foxing; very good. Slipped in is a typed announcement from a local wallpaper dealer dated 1957. Wonderful selection of new modern wallpapers, samples are bound facing photos that picture that same wallpaper installed in a room design. In 1954 Ernst Pickhardt and Rudulf Siebert of P&S partnered with Folkwang-Schule in designing and publishing the first Folkwang collection.“Sigurtin” is a light resistant wallpaper sealed with a lacquer coating.
