Half black cloth with paper boards printed in red, gray, tan, and black in art deco style. Cloth is cracked and frayed at joints and corners, paper cover is slightly rubbed and darkened at outer margins, internally bright; very good. Second edition of a survey originally published in 1925 comprising recent work done by French decorative artists, emphasizing the use of metal in furniture as well as innovations in lighting design. The book is mainly comprised of black and white photographs of various designers arrangements, often living rooms, dining rooms, studies, shared spaces, entryways, staircases, landings, kitchens, fixtures, &c. Toward the end one also finds various examples of lamps, railings, stained-glass windows, decorative panels, wallpaper designs, tapestries, ceramics, silverware, glassware, jewelry, and accessories.
