[Woman and child].

[circa 1839-1860]. Daguerreotype approx. 2 3/4 x 3”, embossed copper mat, calf case 3 1/4 x 3 3/4” with a lily embossed on both sides, with a metal clasp, and a satin pillow to interior opposite the image which is protected by glass with a velvet and brass border. The upper cover of the case is cracked and partially loose at the joint, some rubbing to case, overall a lovely example in very good condition.
