A vivid expression of the modern calligraphy movement, his work can be found in public and private collections around the world; it is the subject of Michael Gullick's Words of Risk: The Art of Thomas Ingmire (1989) and codici 1: a teacher's notebook on modern calligraphy & lettering art (2003). His teaching experience and influence extends throughout the United States to Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong.
