San Francisco: Arion Press, 1992. 4to, 117pp. With 5 woodcuts by McCurdy. Original green silk over boards, circular silver title on upper cover with a buffalo nickel set into the binding. Prospectus loosely inserted. Limited to 400 copies signed by Mamet and McCurdy. Probably Mamet’s best known work outside of movies, American Buffalo made Mamet’s name. It won the Obie and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for best play, and was nominated for two Tonys. The 1983 revival was equally honored and the play is generally regarded as an American masterpiece. McCurdy is a highly respected woodcut artist who has illustrated over 200 books. (Item Id: 105227)
