The plates are by Meyers (the original at the Bancroft Library); each is accompanied by facing notes by John Haskell Kemble (who also provides an introduction).These reproductions are full-size and all but four are published for the first time. Images include scenes of and on board the ship; San Francisco, Monterey, San Pedro, and seven plates of the Sandwich Islands. In 1955 the BCC published Meyer's journals. (Item Id: 104466)
