Included are notes about the dispute between the United States and Great Britain over the territory held by the Hudson Bay Company, Dr. Tolmie missionary at Fort Nisqually and diary of the first ascent of Mt. Rainier; origins of the Puget Sound Agricultural Co., and finally the arrival of the first Catholic missionaries along the Cowlitz River. Of particular interest is Bagley's description of the Chronological & Historical Ladder of Religion which was a visual teaching tool for local Chinook and Cowlitz tribal members at the Mission."
