A finely printed record of a tribute read before the San Francisco Council of Catholic Women a little over a month after Alice Meynell's death. The author, Celia Tobin Clark (1874-1965), was born into a wealthy San Francisco family and married Charles Clark, son of the Montana Copper King and brother of William Andrews Clark Jr. Her sister, Agnes Tobin, was a poet and translator who spent many years in London where she became great friends with Alice Meynell and a respected member of her literary circle.
