With the original mailing envelope revealing this copy was sent from Oak Knoll to the Union League Club of San Francisco in December 1930. Fine in a custom blue cloth folding case lettered in gilt.
§ First (only) edition, signed by Newton on the dedication. A keepsake recounting the history of Samuel Johnson's house in Gough Square, London, published at the author's expense for the benefit of the pension fund established for the caretakers of the house. Item #123373
