1914. [Boston]: Winthrop Press, 1914.
6 vols., 12mo, each 32pp. with a color frontispiece, stapled in color-printed wrappers, all enclosed in the original box with printed title. A perfect set in a very slightly worn box, which has a color illustration on the top and text reading “Short Stories. Many little stories, within this box you’ll see. They’re just what you’ll be wanting, when time hangs heavily!”.
§ Of the utmost rarity thus, this little set seems to be unrecorded in this format, in its own box. The single parts can be found in various printings but the (presumably) complete set thus seems to be unknown. OCLC notes of the titles (separately): “Previously published in Short stories magazine. Issued for the use of the soldiers in the U.S. Army.”. Item #110819
