§ Inscribed to an admirer by Caniff Milton, N.Y. Jan 1954. A compendium of the cartoon strip created by Milton pro bono for exclusive use by US military publications to boost morale during World Ward Two. Miss Lace appeared in only half of the strips but is by far the best remembered character. An elegant and provocatively-dressed brunnette, whose presence in the barracks and the dugouts was an unacknowledged mystery. Item #110407
