Contemporary green morocco, with hand-tooled floral pattern panels in gilt, backstrip with five raised bands and panels stamped in gilt with decorations, volume number, and title, gilt dentelles, and marbled endpapers, a.e.g., and blue silk page marker. A stunning set, beautifully bound and nearly perfect internally, some very faint rubbing at the joints and corners of a few volumes, really as good as it gets. Bookplate of Tynemouth Public Library to front pastedown of each volume, and with library stamps to verso of the title-page.
