Silver print photograph 13 3/4 x 10 5/8”, mounted on archival board, in an archival folder inlaid to the lower board. Gray paper boards with title information stamped on upper board in gilt. Photograph signed by Brett Weston in the lower right-hand corner.

§ The original silver print in an edition of 400, which goes with the Collector’s Edition of Brett Weston: Photographs From Five Decades. An Aperture Monograph (not present). Brett Weston (1911-1993) was the second son of photographer Edward Weston, and became his apprentice in 1925, and accompanied him to Mexico where he was surrounded and influenced by artists such as Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Tina Modotti. In 1947 he received a Guggenheim Fellowship. Throughout his career Weston’s style changed to feature high contrast, abstract imagery. Item #108126
