1938. London: Punch, 1938.
Single leaf cartoon of Churchill. Matted, in fine condition.
§ A funny cartoon of Churchill looking at a hybrid horse made out of a tank and a bomb for an aircraft, lettered Ministry of Supply. “Winston. All the same it would have been a winner...with the right man up”. “The Minister of Supply was the minister in the British Government responsible for the Ministry of Supply, which existed to co-ordinate the supply of equipment to the national armed forces. The position was campaigned for by many sceptics of the foreign policy of the National Government in the 1930s before finally being created in 1939.”. Item #107204
