We are very excited to announce that we have just (October 2008)
acquired the Roger Easson and Kay Parkhurst Easson collection of
William Blake and his circle, comprising some 2000 books and prints by
and about Blake, Palmer, Fuseli etc. It will take several weeks to
catalogue and price these items but enquiries by author, title, or
subject will be processed in the order received, and it is likely that
we will be able to supply almost any standard book(s) in the fields
mentioned.
In addition, we have also acquired the Roger Lipman Collection of William Blake, which features most of the high spots of Blake collecting such as Illustrations of the Book of Job, The Dante suite (Hofer's set), Leonora, Thornton's Virgil, Hayley's Ballads 1802 and 1805 (original boards), the Cumberland card, thje Canterbury Pilgrims, etc. -- in all about 100 of Blake's finest books and separate plates.
We hope to have a printed catalogue, a PDF version, and a CD version available by the Summer of 2009. Please note that no Blake titles will be listed on line anywhere until the catalogue is ready. Please enquire for any titles you may be looking for.
We have also recently acquired a collection of about 100 auto-lithographic books, illustrated with original printed by British artists from the 1930s to the 1960s. High spots include Eric Ravilious's High Street and Robert Colquhoun's Poems of Sleep and Death with 12 original color prints all signed by this legendary artist. Please enquire for a list of titles which will be posted on this website by mid-February 2009.
